Naturpark Steinwald
The imposing granite ridge of the Steinwald stretches between the Fichtel Mountains and the Upper Palatinate Forest at a height of over 900 meters, shaping the impressive landscape of northern Upper Palatinate. The closed forest landscape is home to many attractions, such as steep and bizarrely shaped rock groups and cooling streams. From the imposing Upper Palatinate Tower, you can marvel at a far-reaching panoramic view of the almost 23,000 hectare region.
The “Steinwald” nature park, with its educational trails, species conservation projects and geology, offers a nature experience for young and old - there is still an incomparably high level of biodiversity here!
